Reporting Riparian Violations Anonymously:

During the HLPOA Annual Meeting in July of 2018 many of our members expressed concern about individual issues they had experienced involving riparian law. In August of 2018 the HLPOA Riparian Committee held a meeting for concerned members solely to discuss individual issues in more detail. One of the subjects discussed was how a riparian could report a violation without having to be specifically identified. The Riparian Committee worked with members of local law enforcement and Central Dispatch to put together some guidelines for how a riparian violation could be reported and the reporting individual can remain anonymous — click on the link immediately following. Anonymity may not be available in every situation depending on the detail needing to be reported, but this document will cover a multitude of situations that can be handled as such. If you wish to report a violation anonymously please play close attention to the details provided here. A non-emergency call should be made to 989-275-0911. Information is collected and reported in more detail if you simply dial 911 and anonymity may not be possible once a call to that number takes place.

Many thanks are due the efforts of HLPOA member Jason Trautz, who authored a document that became the starting point for what we have here in final form.
