A Complaint has been filed against the Higgins Lake Property Owners Association by former HLPOA Treasurer Marvin Bolton, represented by Scott Hess. The Higgins Lake Property Owners Association has been named as the Defendant in a defamation complaint filed with the County by Attorney Scott Hess on behalf of former HLPOA President, Pat Springstead. As additional information becomes available, it will be posted here.

Last fall the HLPOA and the HLSIO sent letters to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service expressing concern with actions of the Gerrish Township Board and its contractor, Northpoint Fisheries Management, regarding the township’s swimmer’s itch control program. Following is a recent letter of inquiry issued to Gerrish Township by Larry Harrison, Migratory Birds Permits Chief, Midwest Region, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
